The online dating protocol:
1. Guy likes girl, guy sends flirt.
2. If guy really likes girl he takes the time to send a message.
3. If girl likes guy she responds.
4. Messages are exchanged and maybe even a few IM conversations.
5. Guy gets courage to ask girl for her number.
6. Girl shows his profile to every one of her friends to get their opinion before giving up the digits.
7. Guy calls girl. This is where they lose me.
I got a call tonight from someone, we'll call him Jay, and it was one weird conversation. It went something like this:
Me: Hello?
Jay: Hi. This is Jay.
Me: Oh, hi. What are you up too?
Jay: I'm making jewelry.
Me: (Pause) Oh. Do you often make jewelry?
Jay: It's for my sisters wedding next week.
This is where my mind starts to wander. On one hand it's sweet that he's helping his sister with her wedding preparations. On the other hand how much jewelry has this guy made that he would be good enough to make necklaces for a wedding? Hmmmm.......
Me: Well that's really nice of you. You don't often hear of a guy doing something like that for his sister.
Jay: Yeah, I like to make jewelry. I like to stamp too.
Me: Um, stamp?
Jay: Yeah, I like to make cards and stamp things.
Me: Oh, okay.
Again, my mind wanders. I imagine that I'm married to this guy and I'm hosting a card party. All of my closest girlfriends are there.......and so is he. Hmmmmm..........
And before you go assuming that he's gay he talked a lot about making out.

Wait, I'm lost. How is this guy weird?
I'm quite surprised you passed up someone who you could make jewelry AND cards with. Maybe you guys could've even painted each other's nails!
Sam I am sorry. I was laughing during this, because he brought back memories when I was going through this. All I can say is I found Sam through Online, but you have to be careful because there are some freaks. Just be patient.
Ha ha. Too funny.
Dave and I met through the Yahoo! Personals, so don't give up hope!
