Haiku Buckaroo

I'm entering my first haiku contest over at My Mommy's Place. Ethan is starting preschool in 2 weeks. For those who don't know he just barely turned 3 and is our baby. He has speech delays so he is going to preschool 4 days a week. This is not making me very happy. So with that said, here are my thoughts on this....

No! He's only three.
Good for him, but not for me.
Hard to let him go.

I love this haiku! So bittersweet. Ethan will do so great in preschool and you will, too.

I know how you feel. Our kids didn't go to preschool, but I was very sad when our oldest child started kindergarten.

So true! I have cried on that first day of school for all of them. Every year. There is just something so hard about letting go and letting them grow.
I am feeling it with you!

Good one, Sam! I love it. He will do great, though. Remember feeling the same way over Parley? It's like a bandaid... a precious, precious bandaid: painful for a moment, but then okay.

I absolutely refuse to let Ethan go to preschool! He was a newborn when I first meet him. We just need to remember that they get older....but not us! ps I love the Haiku!
