By Popular Demand

Everyone who commented on the last post requested a recent pic so here it is. If you're friends with me on Facebook then you've already seen it but it's the only one that I have right now, so it'll have to do. :)

Alright, Alright, Alright. I'll give up the goods.

A LOT is happening in my life right now, all simultaneously, one thing just as important as the next. It's been a great balancing act to keep everything in my life going so I let the blog go for awhile. Thank heavens for facebook or most people, including my family that lives 5 miles down the road may wonder if I'm even still alive. I am crazy, busy with school, especially with finals coming up next week. I'm taking two classes on campus and two classes online. Contrary to what schools would have you believe, online classes are not easy!! Ever read a nutrition text-book from cover to cover? It's very boring! It would be a lot easier to go to class and just have the professor tell me what I need to know from the book. So, that's school, can't wait 'til the semester is over so I can have a break!

The boys are going to Colorado for Christmas and they are so excited they can hardly contain themselves. I'm a little sad because this is the first Christmas that I don't get to see their faces on Christmas morning. I do need to admit, though, that I'm looking forward to the break; no school, no kids, no responsibility.....could I be that lucky?

And I've had a request from my sister to spill my guts about my new relationship (way to keep me in check sis!). I've been seeing someone for about 4 months now and the first question almost everyone asks me is if he's nice. YES! He is very sweet and caring and very respectful and supportive of my busy schedule, which is so important to me. His name is Devron and we met in High School. We hung out with the same group of friends and while we never dated we did go to Homecoming together as friends.

See, that's us. Aren't we so cute (and skinny)? :) Then back in August my BFF and I decided we would both sign up for LDSPlanet and compare guys and just see what was out there. When one day I get a message from a very familiar face! He sent me the sweetest message talking about the first time we met (I couldn't believe that he remembered our first meeting with such detail). He gave me his phone number and I called him a few days later. We went out and we talked like no time at all had passed. Although we did have a lot of catching up to do since we both have kids and had been through divorces. I'm grateful to have someone in my life who understands some of what I've been through and understands why I need to take things slowly. The boys adore him and they can't get enough of his kids! 5 kids doesn't seem like too much when they're all getting along. :)

So, that's that. I'll post again after finals.....if I survive!

The Number of the Day?

50!!
Today I stepped on the scale and I've finally hit the 50 pound mark. It's taken me more than a year and I've hit many plateaus but I'm finally there. I haven't lost much weight since April but I've lost lots of inches. I'm down two more pant sizes since then. Now only 15 more pounds to reach my next goal.

Guess what I did today? I put on a pair of size 10 pants!!

He Loves Me. He Loves Me Not. He Loves Me.

I got this from Ethan today, folded up and stuffed into an envelope. As he hands it to me he says, "For you my lovin' pants." I have no idea where he comes up with this stuff but he has a way of letting me know that I'm loved.

What We've Been Up To

It's been a long time since I've posted, I know. I got kind of blah with the whole blog thing. We've been doing lots of things this summer and I have lots of pictures that I could put on here but I hate how long it takes to upload. The boys went to South Dakota for a week with their dad and then to Colorado for a week. Then they were back for a week and we went camping in Logan, or as I like to call it my one week Facebook detox. :) The boys are now on a camping trip with their grandparents. I couldn't go because of work and they really really wanted to go so I sent them without me. The break is kind of nice so that I can finish up all of my stuff for the start of the next semester without feeling like I'm neglecting them.

As for my weight loss progress, I still have a long way to go! I hit a huge plateau and no matter what I did I couldn't break it. So, like the brain that I am, I decided to take some time to maintain. Two months later I still can't get back into the swing of things when it comes to working out. The good thing is that without working out and without watching what I eat I haven't gained any weight, not even one pound. I guess that's good but now I really am trying to get focused again. And I mean hard core focused like I was before. So, here is my plan. I found this on someones blog (I don't remember where) and I thought that this could work to get me focusing again.

Thirty Days of (insert what your goal is here). Mine is Thirty Days of Health, and all that that entails. No sugar, very little red meat, lots of water, fiber, veggies, and of course lots of working out. So, I dedicate the entire month of August to 30 Days of {Blank}! You can play along if you want too.

As for school Parley starts third grade, Ethan is starting Kindergarten and I officially start the pre-nursing program next month. I passed the state exams and got my CNA which is peanuts compared to how far I still have to go but it's a start.

He Finally Gave In

Parley has been putting up a fight when it comes to cutting his hair. I decided that it was only a big deal if I made it a big deal but I didn't really like it. It was cute as it started to grow out but then it got so long that I could pull it back in a pony tail. He was expressing himself so I left it alone. Then this morning he was getting dressed for church and his hair was way passed his collar. I told him that I thought that it was time to cut his hair. He looked at me and said, "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing." Woohoo!!
Here's the before.....

And here's the after. I cut off a LOT of hair!
